It has been simply ages since I manage to post on my blog, half a year in fact, still just to let you all know I am still alive and kicking and keeping up with my crafting when time permits.

Thought I would share a couple of things with you all, firstly my dear Friend Annie is about to celebrate her 103rd birthday so here is the card I have made for her !

Hi all, hope you had a great Christmas (as I did) and are all looking forward to a prosperous NEW YEAR !

Well I am having a few days off from work so have spent today tidying up my workshop, putting away the Christmas stamps for another year and playing with some of my new bits,,,,,,,,,

Thought I would share the cards I have made today, I was particularly pleased with the red and black lady card.

Hi again, here I am with a few of the cards I have made over the last week. These 1st 2 are to be given with money as a gift towards the recipients car tax.....The green one has 2 pockets attached with foam pads to put money in, the other has 2 sections incorporated where the tags are!

A Busy Year

Well yet again all of my good intentions to keep my blog up to date have flown out the window.....I have had a very busy crafting year, I made all my son & daughter~in~law's wedding stationary including rubber stamping 250 napkins (that sure was a lot of fun ((NOT)), I am in the process of doing Wedding invites and orders of service for a friend and I have also produced a several hand made canvases which people seem to like.

Any way I will stick some pictures on for you all to share !

This was the card I made for my Hubbies 50th This is a decoupage page I found and thought would be an ideal sympathy card although I think it was really intended for Easter.

Well it has been simply ages since I last posted on my blog, I have been very busy with family matters and also wedding stationary and although I have still been crafting, I haven't managed to get it here to share.

Anyway I have made a few to share, the first is a commissioned card for "Grumpy Jack" to give his beloved.....This card is an A4 size and it is only the 2nd large card I have made.....

Where has the Year gone?

It is simply ages since I have even looked at my blog and suddenly I realise that I have not put a post on for months..... All I can say in my defence is that I have been extremely busy and although I have carried on crafting I just have not found the time to display my work.....Christmas will soon be upon us and I also Have Wedding invites and stationery to do for my son & his fiancee to be sent out in the early new year along with some commissioned golden wedding party invites. I promise to try and share some more work with you all soon and possibly even attempt some challenges.......

Meanwhile I will share this card that I made for my dear friends Ann & Grumpy Jack to welcome their new little pooch Jed! I have made the card from an actual photo of Jed himself which I have printed out and decoupaged.

Well once again I have used one of the "remember when" sets and good old "footy", I still do not see what the fascination with the game is but the old man is sat mesmerised at this minute.....

This was a nice challenge to use your favourite things, gosh it is really hard to decide what is favourite at the moment, it changes daily......but I really do like anything fairy-ish, glittery, shimmering wings, mythical and magical. I think this card sums it all up and I really enjoyed making it!

I have again used decoupage flowers for this challenge, I came across these decoupage sheets in the pannier market in Barnstaple and just could not resist them. I felt these had a slightly oriental feel to them.

Rainbow Lady Challenge "TRANSPORT"

I do not know how many of you have come across these decoupage set called "Remember When", but they make a simply fantastic masculine card. They are time consuming to make and fairly expensive to buy (£4.99) for 3 sets but I think they are worth it for a special birthday or occasion. Any way I have made this one and thought it fitted the bill for this challenge, so here it is!

Tanda Teaser "Vellum"

The challenge for the Tanda Teaser was to use vellum somewhere on your card, I am not over keen on vellum although I do love to make vellum flowers, I always feel they have a very delicate look as if the petals would flutter in the breeze so for this challenge I have made some vellum flowers along with butterflies and a vellum embossed script.

Cuttlebug be inspired challenge "cuttlebug & punches"

The challenge was to make something using punched shapes and cuttlebug embossing folders.
I have made a simple flower card using heart punches, cuttlebug embossed and then glittered (as in Spikes demonstration from a couple of weeks ago) I also used a couple of butterfly punches and some punched leaves.

I have been asked to make a card with a dolphin on, I do not own a dolphin stamp so used a clip art image. Coloured embossed and cut out.

Again I have been experimenting, this time I coloured the butterfly image using sakura glitter pens, I then covered the whole image with versifine and embossed. The finished effect is simply fantastic, sadly this has not shown up brilliantly in the photo, but give it a go!

I have tried something a little different with this challenge, I rubber stamped my image onto some thick textured mount board using cats eye chalk, I then mixed some of the same colour chalk with water and coloured some of the image. Not sure about the end result but certainly different!

I decided on complicated simple for this challenge, a simple layout with a complicated image......I have used a sponge along with chalks, masks and glimmer mist to form a backing before stamping my owl image using black stazon. Then simple mounting.

The challenge is too make a card with a scene. I am not fortunate to have one of these helping hands c.d's everybody is so enthusiastic about so I decided to create my own scene using a photo taken on a day out in Warwick shire. I have added and coloured an image from a "girl about town" download. The challenge also calls for you to give your scene a title and my title is going to be "Where's the nearest tree?".

For my final card today I have slotted in the Tanda Teaser. Seeing spots. For this project I have used patterned paper (dotty of course) plain white card put through the dotty embossing folder and a downloaded ostrich which I have enhanced with some feathers.

I have used no stamping in this challenge instead I have used 3 peel off handbags which I have placed onto coloured card and cute out minus the handles, I then added decorative colour and made handles, two are seed beads on wire and the third is a crocheted ribbon.

I cheated a little with this one and used a computer image , I used an embossing folder on brown card to try to give the impression of bricks.

Again straight forward stamping of image, coloured with sakura glaze pens and mounted before placing onto the prepared card blank and adding a couple of silver plastic hearts which I coloured using permanent markers.

Kept this one fairy simple. I embossed the card blank and added ribbon where the embossing folder would not reach. I then stamped, punched out and coloured my whiff of joy image and placed with foam pads. Finally adding an embossed tag with message.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card, and was very pleased with the end result!

I have used punched flowers and leaves along with my sizzix parchment die, I have then embossed the elements using various embossing folders and sanded the backing parchment shape to distress it.

This is the second ATC I have made in recent weeks and I think I am now getting the idea of them, (still not sure about them though) . I was pleased to see the dt example featured an encaustic piece and decided I would do likewise, but using it as a backing paper and making the main feature the fish. I think I will probably end up using this as a topper for a mans card !

For this card I rubber stamped onto acetate using black stazon, coloured with permanent pens and glitter and then placed into a sizzix cutout. I then attached the whole thing to a card blank including some butterfly punch outs to form a shaker card.
