HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

Well after a hectic couple of weeks I am finally getting back to normal.....trouble is I forget what normal is ha ha (must be my age!)

Any way I would just like to take this opportunity to wish you all A Very Happy, Healthy & Prosperous 2008......Bottoms up!

Here are a the few cards I have managed to make to mark the end of 2007!

Wednesday Stamper "open theme challenge"

For this open theme challenge I have done a 16th birthday card for my oldest Grand~daughter Jade....

Daring Cardmakers Year End Challenge "Four of the best"

Well hello everybody,,,,have you missed me? Oh o.k. then!

Here is the card I have done for this challenge.....It is a birthday card for my youngest Grand~daughter who is going to be 5 on the 7th......I have used a decoupage topper which was included in my prize from Tanda as the cut, and then buttons with bows and thin ribbon to form the frame....

Tanda Stamps "Heart Art" Challenge.

This one took some making, but I decided that the challenge gave me the ideal opportunity to make "The Old Mans" Christmas card.

Di Hickman template challenge

Yet another card I was pleased with, quite simply made but I think really effective!

Daring Cardmakers challenge "Buttons & Bows"

Keeping with the Christmas theme we have a Button & Bow tree!

Wednesday Stamper Challenge "TOYS"

I was really pleased with the end results of this card:-

Isa's alpha challenge "X is for Xmas"

Well I expect every one has gone for Xmas but that was all I could think of so :-

Isa's Alpha Challenges "W for window"

Had a really productive day today, feels like the 1st day off I've had in ages.

So here goes for the challenges:-

W is for window, I have tried to give this a stained glass effect but not sure how well it has scanned.

Wednesday 5 December 2007

A couple of ordered cards.

Finally for tonight I am listing a couple of cards I have been commissioned to make. The first is for Grumpy Jack and Ann for their friend "Vanda's" birthday.......

The 2nd is for a lady to send to her New daughter~in~law's family to thank them for their hospitality in India.

Wednesday Stamper challenge "Words"

I might be a little late for this challenge but seeing as I have now completed the card I thought I would put it on anyway!

CPS#42.....sketch challenge

My next offering is another little cutie. This adorable fairy stamp is a recent purchase, another one I can see myself getting lots of use from. For this challenge I have stamped, embossed and cut her out then coloured with water colours.

Papertake Weekly Challenge "White Christmas"

Well I have made a start on some of the challenge cards and caught up on a couple of ordered cards. Not been quite such a productive day as I was intending but he ho!

My first card is for the papertake weekly challenge "white Christmas", for this one I have used shades of white embossed papers and just a little silver, ribbon & die cut.

Congratulations..................

Hi there every one, sorry I have been absent from the challenges and my blog for a couple of weeks, I have been sooooooooo busy not had a minute to myself, who said my time would come when the children left home, my youngest moved out a couple of months ago and my "new spare room" has been inundated with visitors ever since. I wonder if my son would like to move back as he was a lot easier to deal with! ha ha.

Any way hopefully I am back now and will make a start when I get in from work with doing some of the many challenges there are out there.

Meanwhile some really nice news is that I became a Great Auntie (Granty & Gruncle) yesterday! My niece gave birth to a whoooping 11LB6.5oz baby boy!

Well done Victoria and a big welcome to Theo if you are looking in.

Thought I would share the card I have just popped in the post to her.

Will see you all later with some more cards to share.
