Wednesday Stamper challenge "charms"

I like this card and the effect I have managed with the dangling charms.
Using an old favourite rubber stamp I coloured using water colour pencils and a little glitter, then cut out, attached the heart charms to some seed beads and attached to some on the petals before mounting onto a prepared card blank with foam pads.

C.P.S. 49 challenge

A simple sketch but really effective.

Papertake weekly challenge "hearts desire"

I am really pleased with this card, I used subtle colours on the backing paper prior to stamping the image which I then coloured in with sakura gel pens. Two hearts complete the simple effect.

Isamaki challenge 4

I decided to try out my sakura gel pens on darker colours for this challenge. Sadly the scan does not do the colours justice.

Artygirlz #19 challenge "pockets"

I always seem to do flowery feminine cards when I use pockets so I decided to stretch myself a little and have made a mans card for this challenge. I have fallen back on my good old "odd job Bob" rubber stamp and have used some sizzix die cuts to fill the pockets.

Tanda Stamps "Perfect Paisley" Challenge

My 2nd card is a 1st for me as I have never worked with paisley before....Got to be honest I am not sure if I actually like paisley but I was quite pleased with the end result!

Daring Cardmakers Challenge "Foiled"

I have made a couple of cards this morning, the 1st being for the foiled challenge over at the:-http://www.daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/.

For this card I prepared a blank card with backing paper (made with ink pads and glimmer mist), I then glued some foil onto card, cut an oblong and run it through an embossing folder, punched out some daisies and joined with little brads. I then put it all together using a little girl stamped image to complete.

Wednesday Stamper challenge "Buttondollz"

Well for my final card today I had a go at making a buttondollz card, it was great fun although I am not too sure if I like this or not, maybe it will grow on me and I will make some more of them, who knows!

Tanda stamps miscellaneous challenge "Office Oddments"

For this challenge I have used a my sizzix machine to cut out several parchment and stamp cuts from a parchment type paper, I have then used some rubber stamp stamps and postmarks (from tanda) to decorate. bundled them together with an elastic band and a couple of paper clips and mounted onto a card blank prepared with a postage backing paper. Not too sure about this one!

ThemeThursday "Celestial" challenge

Another card where I was pleased with the end result. I stamped and silver embossed 6 celestial triangles which I then cut out and mounted together to form stars. I then mounted it all together using various backing papers, silver mirror board and some silver wire. Not sure that the scan does it justice.

Carrdvarks "Blue Moon" challenge

For this challenge I decided to keep it simple, I used the cricut to cut a moon from blue sparkle paper, I then rubber stamped and cut out an owl image and mounted them together on to a card blank prepared with a new backing paper from the "once upon a time" stack I purchased at the show.

Daring cardmakers "Tempting Template"

This was fun challenge using up scraps of papers and a few old stamps that have not seen the light of day for some time.

Di Hickman's card sketch Jan #4

For this card I have used hand coloured backing papers along with a few wooden buttons I bought at the craft show, and a cricut slotted cylinder for a peel off greeting.

One to share.

My final card today is a commissioned card for a birth congratulations. It has not scanned brilliantly but I think you can get the general effect!

Di Hickman card sketch.

This was a lovely sketch to work with and again I have used my own backing paper on the stamped sections.

Papertake weekly challenge "violets are blue"

I have really enjoyed discovering how to use colour for backing papers, I can see I am going to save quite a bit of money in the future by making my own.

Another card I enjoyed making very much!

Artygirlz challenge 18 "Animals"

Another challenge in which I have coloured my own paper, this time stamping directly onto it with the cat stamp and then cutting out and mounting.

Ismaki 3rd challenge sketch

For this challenge I played with my new perfect pearls to make my own backing papers. Not sure how good the scanned effect is but I am really pleased with this one.

And a few to share

Well I have had a good play over the last couple of days. Here are a few to share. The valentine is made suing just coloured card cut outs and embossing folders, trying out for effect more than anything, the other two are both done using new rubber stamps from "dimensionfourth", I can see I am going to be using these a lot as they cut out nicely with clear lines.

CPS# 47 challenge

Not really sure about this one but hey ho here it is!

Papertake weekly challenge. "Roses are red"

I have used an old favourite rubber stamp for this challenge but used perfect pearls mixed with water to colour. A few feathers and a butterfly peel-off to complete.

ThemeThursday "stamped background"

For this challenge I have chosen to make a Mothers Day Card. I have stamped directly onto a pearlescent card blank using perfect medium and perfect pearls, I then stamped the central daffodil onto white card, embossed and coloured in using sakura gel pens. Cut out, mounted and completed with a peel-off.

Monday 14 January 2008

Any way I have bought lots of new goodies and am looking forward to playing with them in due time.....Probably on Wednesday when I get some time to myself to do the challenges. Meanwhile I thought I would share a couple of commissioned cards I have just completed.

Daring Cardmakers mid week little extra "New to me"

This card uses a couple of new to Me's....1stly I have used a new rubber stamp and 2ndly I have stamped onto a wooden square which I first coloured with twinkling h2o's. I was quite pleased with the finished result.

Wednesday Stamper "Keys"

I looked through my stash of stamps only to find that I could not find a single key stamps. I did however come across this little metal key so I decided I would use it to make my 1st valentines card of the year!

CPS 46 challenge

I was delighted with the end results of this card which I done for the sketch challenge at http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/ .

The flower was punched from a dusky pink vellum and I then used an embossing folder to give it texture.

Papertake weekly challenge "Thanks A Bunch"

This was a simply made card, using a Tanda stamp flourish and some flower embellishments!

Arty Girlz challenge # 16~buttons

I found these buttons in my local haberdashery shop and knew they would come in handy somewhere.

ISMAKI CHALLENGES:- 1/The Sketch

For the 1st challenge from ISMAKI I have used a new rubber stamp that I purchased from Isa's website http://www.scrapandstamp.co.uk/index.php, so it is quite appropriate!

Sunday 6 January 2008

Tanda Stamps Miscellaneous Challenge "Magic & Mystery"

I really enjoyed playing with this challenge, I used two rubber stamps onto photographic paper coloured with twinkling H20's, cut them out and mounted with foam pads. For the base I ironed some silver fibres between 2 pieces of fantasy film, I then used my sizzix parchment die to cut the shape, I cut the same shape from white card. I cut the white shape diagonally and attached to the back to give the 2 colour effect. All finished off with a couple of glittery stars and a happy birthday bubble sticker.

The end result I hope is magically mysterious!

Theme Thursday Quotes "Follow Your Heart"

For this challenge I have used an old favourite teddy rubber stamp.

I used another stamp for the saying and put it all together with some spotty dotty paper and a little gold heart embellishment.

Saturday 5 January 2008

ArtyGirlz Emboss challenge

For this challenge I have used 2 of the 1st stamps I ever bought, (cannot remember having used the flower fairy before). Subtle colours, thin twine and all finished off with a button.

Friday 4 January 2008

Daring Cardmakers "NEW" challenge

A great challenge to begin the new year, I have to admit to cheating with this one, I certainly made the card using a rubber stamp, coloured pens and some backing paper, the cheat came by using the computer to add the text!

Di Hickman's January 1st Sketch Challenge

Yet another thank you card for this challenge, quiet simply made using a tanda stamps rubber stamp which I have stamped directly onto the card front and also onto some pink vellum. I then cut out the flowers from the vellum and attached, I then simply cut a couple of decorative strips from the vellum and attached to the bottom and finished off with a vellum tag stamped with "thank you" and attached with a bow.

PAPERTAKE WEEKLY CHALLENGE "BIT 'A' BLING"

For this challenge I have made a card that is suitable for an engagement, anniversary or wedding.....a subtle little bit of bling gives it that special touch!

Tuesday 1 January 2008

Caardvarks Sketch challenge "Thanks"

For this challenge I have turned the sketch on its side and have made it into a thank you card as I will be needing several of these in the near future!

C.P.S # 45 card sketch challenge.

For this sketch I used a new rubber stamp from "Tanda Stamps", I stamped directly onto black card and embossed with Egyptian gold embossing powder. I then cut out and arranged with backing papers. The final touch a piece of gold ribbon and an inspire button.

Di Hickman card sketch........

My 1st card made this year is for the Di Hickman card sketch challenge.

I just love red and black together!
