Daring Cardmakers Challenge "Tagged"

Yet another great challenge from:-http://www.daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/.

I had to take it further and made both cards from junk. The first card made was for a man, I used a newspaper t.v listing page as backing paper, a beer mat made the t.v. with a thumbnail picture from a cinema magazine, a piece of old wire made the Ariel, burnt matchsticks made the legs and shelf and a piece of a clothes tag made the dvd.~. For the flower card I used a paper bag (which had held my latest craft purchases) for backing paper, sweet wrappers (I had to eat 7) made the petals, the bottom of a red wine bottle cork made the centre of the flower ( you got it I drunk the whole bottle), a piece of rope from a label and a cut off from another label finished it off. Great Fun!

Di Hickman template challenge "Purpley~pink"

Another great challenge from Di Hickman, these challenges are putting my house work in serious neglect.....http://dihickman.blogspot.com/

Creative !dea On Sunday "Flower Stitching"

Here we have a card for the Creative
!dea on Sunday challenge "stitching".
For this card I stamped 3 flowers onto a velvet type paper, cut them out and added some sewing detail and a sewn on button. I then edge a piece of backing paper with stitches and mounted it all onto gold embossed card with some pretty ribbon.

Wednesday Stamper EGGS~TRAVAGANZA !

This was a fun challenge from Wednesday Stamper:- EGGS!
Well I suppose the caption to this card shows my true age!
I have stamped & printed images onto white card, thick embossed them and stuck them onto prepared card blank.
"A fine EGGSAMPLE"....

Daring Cardmakers little extra challenge "FABULOUS"

Here is my effort for the http://www.daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/ little extra challenge. I think this rubber stamp is fabulous & have used it often.... For this card I have stamped onto white card and again onto pink slinky paper & gold card. I cut just the dress from the pink paper and the bonnet from the gold and stuck over white image. I then used flowersoft on the flowers, mounted it all onto card printed with "Fabulous" & added a few buttons.

How Fab is that!

E is for Elegant Egg (Isabella's challenge)

I have been waiting for a good reason to use this stamp and what better reason than for Isabella's E challenge:-http://isascrapandstamp.canalblog.com/archives/challenges/index.html

For this card I made some paper flowers and heat stamped my "giant carousel egg" with stazon on to fantasy fibres, I then cut it out and assembled using foam pads. Sadly the scan does not do it justice!

Daring Cardmakers Challenge " embossed card"

http://www.daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/ set a challenge today for an embossed card, well here is my effort but I must admit dry embossing is a bit out of my comfort zone. I have basically used a brass stencil to emboss directly onto the card blank, I then made a paper flower and added a glass bead and ribbon to complete.

"Share my Flowers"

These flowers which my husband got for me are so beautiful, I wanted to keep them flowering forever, so I took a digital photo of them!
For this card I have printed off 3 images, the first I mounted onto silver card and then onto card blank, the other two I cut out just the main flower and decoupaged them adding a little glitter as a finishing touch.
Hope you all have a "bloomin lovely" evening!
Den

Leeds United Card.

As I have said before I make a lot of cards to order, here is one I have just finished. I must admit to getting a lot of help from the internet for this one!

"Who Gives a Hoot" Di Hickmans challenge

I have again dug out an old favourite for this challenge....I simply adore "house-mouse" stamps and this one in particular.....the little disc has not scanned too well, but it says "believe".....Do you? http://dihickman.blogspot.com/

"Dotty Delights"

"Polka Dots" is the challenge from http://wednesdaystamper.wordpress.com/ this week.

I saw a card designed in this manner in a magazine recently and thought it was a dotty idea so I've had a go using dotty paper of course!

"D" for "Done by Den"!

O.K. Here is my offering for Isabelle's challenge, ( isascrapandstamp.canalblog.com)
At least one butterfly and the letter D....a simple one for me having the initial D.
I like the simplicity of this card and the dramatic effects from using glitter on acetate.http://http://isascrapandstamp.canalblog.com/

Ted's Rule O.K.

I found this site:- http://stampingrika.blogspot.com/ with a challenge to use the picture of the above bear on a card. Great challenge, I love my Ted's.....So for this card I combined the ted picture with my favourite ted stamp & "hey presto". My play day today so off to find another challenge. see you all later!

Old Borrowed Mis~Mash!

Well here we go again with this weeks Daring Cardmakers challenge:-

The Old is the two buttons in the bottom right corner, found in a tin of old buttons belonging to my Grand~mother, they had brass rings on the back which I cut off with my husbands toe~nail clippers....(Am I going to be in trouble!) The new is the card blank and backing paper, obviously the blue is the predominant colour and the borrowed is the hand writing. I got my youngest Son to write it for me as he has ( in my opinion, (mind I am bias)) the most beautiful hand writing. The finished result " A right Mis~Mash". But hey it was fun!

I suppose I should really say that this one is "Done by Den & Ken"

"80th Accordingly"

Well it has been a very hectic weekend so far. Celebrating my son's 30th birthday for one thing !
Thank you all very much for your kind comments on my previous posts.
I have not got around to much playing, so I thought I would share this card with you....It was quite a challenge as the person that ordered it insisted on an accordion & musical notes with pinks & purples. Well I knew I didn't have an accordion rubber stamp, I searched my clip art programs to no avail except for very childish looking instruments. Finally I searched the web and found a picture on a new accordion which I printed off, cut out and then double embossed with extra thick clear embossing powder.

I really hope the chap is pleased with the end result.

SPACED OUT!

Here we go with the Daring Cardmakers Challenge......"Spaced out" was done very quickly as I have a busy scedule today....Firstly I put a hand made marble paper on to card blank front, I cut out some rings from gold & silver card and glued them into position I then took one stamp ( I am afraid it is one of my unmounted selection so I am not sure what it is called) and stamped it once onto grey card with black stazon and coloured with sakura gel pens and once onto fantasy film, I cut both images out and attached with foam pads. The finishing touch was a few punched stars. Sadly the Fantasy film did not scan very well.

THREE INTO ONE DOES GO!

Three challenges to complete:- Di Hickman Template challenge, Wednesday Stamper Flowers & Isabelle's weekly challenge letter C only tags, no brown ink. The mind bloggeled and the bloggeled some more and here we have proof that 3 into 1 does go.
I used backing papers to shape Di's template, Rubber stamped flowers onto green card stock & cut out tags & a strip, also rose stamped around the edges for the Wednesday stamper challenge and finally attached 2 cat buttons to the tags for Isabelle.
I added a leaf brad & "hey presto"
Time for a coffee I think!

Card in A Coat

I was so impressed by Wendy Mcglinchey's coated card I had to have a go myself. Great fun but wheres the day gone? I have now been advised of other challenges so I will be back later.

No Glue Here! ( Daring Cardmakers Challenge)

Well always up for a dare, so here is my first attempt at The Daring Cardmakers challenge. Firstly I punched some flowers from hand made paper, I then attached them directly to each other and the backing papers with needle & thread, using a sequin & bead to secure. I stamped my message onto paper and mounted using dragonfly brads. I then attached the whole lot to a card blank using gem brads. The final touch a few drawn stems & leaves. Certainly a different approach!

Sweet Willow

This is one of my all time favourite stamps, "The Willow Fairy" by inca stamps.
stamped onto white card and then coloured using felt pens and glittered wings with peewee glitter. Simply mounted adding a few peel off corners and a bow.
I suppose I like this stamp so much because it brings back child hood memories.

OASIS

Not too sure what I think of this one, I was trying something different! I done this using the creative expressions stamp "oasis", stamped onto a bubble effect plastic using stazon and then coloured in with sakura pens. I then triple mounted onto white paper on mirror board on black base card, To finish ! used a little star stamp onto the white paper.

He cannot be 30!

I have only managed 1 card today, possibly because it was a difficult one, can my eldest really be approaching 30?

Flowery pot full

Here is my 1st attempt at displaying one of my cards....It is quite obvious that I need to get a scanner, but hey ho, a photo will do, for now.
This is a simple card made using an A4 sheet folded in half, I have attached a pale pink backing paper & peel off corners. I then made a flower pot from off cuts of glittered paper, punched assorted daisy's from glitter paper, assembled and added central diamante's I printed the Happy Anniversary & "Diamond Do" again onto glitter paper and finally punched butterflies from glitter paper.
I then assembled the card using baby pink Malibu feathers foam pads, double sided tape and silicon glue. Finally I created the central butterfly using a peel off put onto glittered card, cut out and mounted with foam pad..
What do you think ?
