Arty Girlz "home art"

I enjoyed this challenge very much, for the occasion I decided as I hadn't been given a calendar this year, I would make one!
Basically I printed a 2009 calendar onto a white A4 card. I then used a piece of sponge and 3 colours of adirondak inks to do the base colour. Once that had dried I rubber stamped the lady image in espresso adirondak ink, and the flowers leaves, and dragon fly in pastel chalks. Once it was all dry I laminated the whole thing, punched a hole and completed the whole thing with an eyelet and a piece of green ribbon for hanging.

My Time To Craft Challenge "Easy Elegance"

Well I didn't expect to be doing another card for this challenge site but as I was a bit late with the last challenge I thought I would put in a bit of an effort! So here is an elegant card!

Tanda Stamps Teaser "Thank You"

Great challenge, I am sure we will all be needing a few of these:-

Cute Card Thursday Challenge "open theme"

I needed to make a birthday card so used this challenge for that purpose, I have had a really good play with my adirondak inks and I really like the end result.

Magnolia vs stampavie challenge "Goodbye 2008"

Another sketch to follow and again my interpretation!

Dutch Dare Challenge 29

Well I've had a bit of a play today and got a few challenges done.

This one is for the Dutch Dare sketch challenge and this is my interpretation of it!

Arty Girlz Challenge "Frames"

Several of the cards I have made today fit this challenge description so here they are!

C.P.S. Sketch Challenge.

Another lovely sketch to work and I trusted in an old faithful to give me the effect I wanted.

Ismaki Sketch

I really liked this sketch & the colours I chose for it but have to admit to being a little disappointed with the end result.. Still its only fair to share the good with the bad so Hey Ho!

Tanda Teaser "In The Frame"

I used this challenge for yet another Christmas card.....

House Mouse & Friends Challenge "Glitter & Glitz"

I have got plenty of house mouse stamps but non connected to Christmas.....Oh well its got the glitz etc!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge "HEARTS"

I decided on one heart but its full of seasonal wishes!

Dutch Dare Challenge "Scalloped Edges"

Well at last I have got around to making some cards, I have tried to combined some of the challenges for cards I need for family and friends....The easy challenge of scalloped edges from The Dutch Dare blog enabled me to make a start....

Just to Say Hi!

Well I didn't get very far last week with completing any challenges, and I am not sure how well I will do this week. I thought I would share a couple of cards that I needed to make, the first being for my hubbies birthday which I was quite pleased with as he is an avid golfer, the second is a commissioned card for an Elvis fanatic, I found this much harder needing to make a masculine card with Elvis on! Still it is done and now I can start thinking about Christmas. I normally have done all the gifts cards etc by now, this year I also have to do my Mums shopping for Christmas and haven't even bought a single present.....I need to get my finger out!

Wednesday, 26 November 2008

Well I have been absent for a while yet again, the pressures of a busy life and all that..... any way I have checked out what challenges are available and hope to spend a bit of time over the next couple of days crafting.

Meanwhile I have received a new award from Berylhttp://wlpandivascraft.blogspot.com/.....Thanks Beryl....and I need to nominate 5 others to receive this award.

The 5 I have chosen are:-

These Ladies all have wonderfully unique ideas which gives me a lot of inspiration!

Each blog is well worth a visit.

Tanda Stamps Teaser "MEOW"

Kept this challenge quite simple but (I feel quite) effective!

Cute Card Thursday "RED & GREEN"

I found this decoupage sheet in the local craft shop and decided it was just right for my niece, also just right for this challenge, so double whammy!

Cuttlebug Challenge "EMBOSS A DIE CUT"

Another snowy Christmas card this time made using embossed die cut snowflakes and a die cut snowman.

Rainbow Lady Challenge "THINGS WITH WINGS"

I decided against a Christmas card for this challenge and have gone a bit mad, but I love it!

The wings (which were in a set of Tanda stamps I bought) have been made using black stazon, fantasy film & silver angel hair. I have then rubber stamped the little girl, cut her out and put it all together on a prepared card blank.

Papertake Challenge Sketch

No stamping on this card, just assorted papers and a decoupaged sexy fairy!

My Time To Craft Challenge "SNOWMEN"

Just one snowman for this one but lots of snow to make more!

Dutch Dare Challenge "ANYTHING BUT A CARD"

For this challenge I have made a couple of little gift boxes, I have bought my two little nieces earrings for Christmas but wanted something nicer to give them in than Argos boxes so this challenge came in just right!

High Hopes Challenge "SPARKLEMANIA"

For this card I have used a stencil with embossing paste and lots of glitter, not sure how well it has photographed but I think you can get the idea.

Shipping Order for Grumpy Jack & Ann

Well I have been busy getting some cards ready for an order for my favourite customers, good old Grumpy Jack (who wears a silly hat) & Ann who must have the patience of a saint.
Any way lets hope they like the cards I've made for them, there are 5 here and the one I done for the Magnolia challenge last week makes the 6.

Ismaki Challenge Sketch # 38

My final card today is a commissioned one using the sketch from the Ismaki challenge.

Cute Card Thursday "Fairies & Angels"

I have adored Fairies ( or the idea of them) since I was a little girl and I always love making cards with them on so this has to be my favourite challenge this week!

Cuttlebug Challenge # 6 "Sketch"

Well I have had a go at this challenge, and I will list even though I really am not sure of it.....Not really my cup of tea!

C.P.S. Sketch 89

I enjoyed making this card and really love the rich vibrant colours of the backing papers.

Tanda Teaser "Fab Folds"

I am still playing catch up, here is the card I have made for the tanda teaser, the scan does not really do justice, but I think you can get the general idea.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 34 "CHEERS"

This challenge called for a drink themed card and so I have used one of my new Whiff of Joy stamps!

Magnolia VS Stampavie Challenge Sketch

This is the 1st challenge at the new Tilda site.

It was a sketch challenge and I have taken the opportunity to make an ordered card for Grumpy Jack & Ann.

I hope they are pleased with it!

House Mouse Recipe Challenge

Well here I am with a few more challenges, this one was a recipe challenge, the ingredients:-

Ribbon

2 x Buttons

Felt

Scalloped edge.

Here is what I cooked up!

Papertake Weekly Challenge "simply sparkling"

Yet again I have used this challenge to make a commissioned card, the sparkle does not show up brilliantly on the scan but I think you get the idea!
Thanks for the lovely comments, the blue on the wings and tail feathers is simply done with a fine glue pen and a blue glitter (peewee I think)

My Time To Craft "Coffee & Cream"

I have been commissioned by Grumpy Jack & Ann to make a birthday card for someone using a chocolate labrador, so this challenge seemed to be an ideal chance to combined the two.

High Hopes & DutchDare Challenges.

Well I did not make a single card last week, hectic life with family, so here I am back to play catch up ! I will list the couple I have done and then spend the rest of the morning catching up with those I have missed.

This 1st card is a joint effort. The High Hopes Challenge 6 is to make a Holiday card with non traditional colours and the Dutch Dare Challenge 21 is to use the colour combination black-pink & purple.

This card foots the bill for both!

Rainbow Lady Challenge "magical & mysterious"

Well I have kept my favourite to last, this is the card I have made for Cynthia's challenge, I felt encaustic art was called for and have combined it with a couple of rubber stamps and glitter.

I simply love the effect but I know it is not every ones cup of tea!
