Playing with my new Tanda stamps

Not had as much time as I would like to play with my new toys yet, but here is one I was quite pleased with

Just a couple of cards I've been playing with!

K is for "Knitting" Isa's challenge

I kept trying to think of something different for the letter K, I kept thinking kiss & then thinking everyone will do that or king, or kite I wanted something different what about kingfisher but alas I do not have a kingfisher stamp, then it came to me K is for knitting. I quickly found some little needles (cocktail sticks with eyelets glued on) and some embroidery thread and hey presto! I hope this is different enough!

For this challenge from the daring card makers I have done a Silver wedding Anniversary card, (that's number 25 of course), and surprise surprise I have used one of my new Tanda stamps!

Di Hickman Template Challenge "Birthday Bob"

For this challenge I used another Tanda stamp from the transport set. I stamped it onto photo paper using black stazon, cut out and mounted onto silver & then black. I prepared the card blank with backing paper added triangles of black card with silver star brads and happy birthday peel~offs . A great card for my brother I think!

Tanda Transport!

The next 2 cards were made using stamps from the Tanda Transport set. I have used assorted backing papers, ribbons, brads, stickers & a brass mermaid charm.

A Productive Day!

Well I finally got to open my new Tanda stamps, and once I'd spent an age cutting them all out and sticking them to easy mount I was ready to play!
These 3 cards are from various retro women sets, I have used cuttlebug embossing folders assorted backing papers, ribbons & brads.
I particularly liked the effect of embossing coloured acetate !

Tandastamps challenge "cc03 Terrific Tags"

This was a fun challenge, using a multitude of techniques :- stamping, die cutting & embossing .

Wednesday Stamper Open Theme Challenge "MAGIC"

If someone says you have to make a card of your choice you would think "Great free licence"...but I have spent days trying to think of something to do! Any way having seen all the people rushing to get their latest Harry Potter book I decided on a little magic...I am really quite pleased with the end result. I printed off some background paper, I then stamped the train stamp onto 3 different papers and cut out the elements I wanted and layered them up, next came the little magician, again I stamped him out on 2 papers cut out and layered. I finished the card with some sticky corners and a couple of school theme stickers!

Faking it challenge "I think..maybe..possibly..."

Well, what can I say, the more I fiddled with this card, the more I lost sight of the challenge....

(For our Little Extra challenge this week, we'd like you to "Go Faux it" Yes, all we want you to do this week is to use something fake on your cards.)

For this card I scanned and printed a cat fabric square, in the hope it would look like a fabric square, not sure if that succeeded, I then punched out some square buttons and stuck them onto the corners. I finished the card with scraps of backing papers and a frame of twisted wool.

I like the end result but feel its a "fake" for this challenge!

70th Birthday Wishes

Today's 3rd card is another commissioned card for a ladies 70th birthday, her interests are gardening and tennis. I am really pleased with the end result ! Now I am going to check out the challenges.....

Engagement Card

The 2nd card for today is an engagement card.....This was a commissioned card for a blind girl so I have made it very tactile, using fabric for the banner and birds, textured backing paper, thick card for the book and hearts and cut out letters for their names....

Well Done Bobby!

Another busy day so far...The first card I am putting on today is a congratulations card for my middle son who passed his driving test just over an hour ago...I am really pleased for him!

Tandastamps CC02 colour challenge." No Grey Here"

Well as you all know by now I simply love black and white, possibly because life matters are normally grey! Any way here is the card I made for the Tandastamps challenge.

Haberdashery card Challenge

Well my sewing box was very limited but I came up with a few bits to throw together for this challenge....Sadly it did not scan brilliantly because of the buttons, but I think you get the general idea!

Caardvark Challenge "Scrappy Valentine"

A very quick effort for this final day challenge. I have prepared the blank card with torn scraps of backing paper & some paper hearts.

I then took some white card and after covering with brilliance twilight ink pad I triple embossed with ultra thick embossing power and stamped with an ornate heart rubber stamp.

And if your looking in Ann & Grumpy, its ready for collection...ha ha

Caardvarks Challenge "Believe"

Yet another caardvarks challenge completed, they are certainly keeping us on our toes.

This time I heat stamped the image of the fairy onto strawberry fantasy film and cut out. I then stamped the verse onto a pink hard plastic and cut out. I prepared the card blank with a black floral backing paper, mounted my stamped images and completed with a pink banner (cut from marbled paper) , a metal believe charm and a couple of pretty buttons & ribbons. A lot of work in this card!

Di Hickman Template Challenge "More Mice"

I combined this template challenge with an anniversary card I needed to make for my niece & her husband. Firstly I stamped the mouse image 3 times onto different coloured paper/card. I coloured the mice in on the white copy & then cut out the elements I wanted from the coloured paper and stuck down. I then embossed some black card stock with hearts and attached ribbon and sentiment to complete.

Daring Carmakers little extra challenge "Swinging Sixties"

Well this certainly was a challenge & I really am not certain that I like the end result but here it is anyway!

Caardvarks Challenge..."Good Luck"

I really enjoyed this one, I adore good old black & white. Very simply made using a black & white floral backing paper, typed text with image rubber stamped using black stazon onto white card and mounted onto black card all finished off with a big black fabric & paper flower.

Tanda stamps challenge "Inspire me"

I have just joined the tanda stamps forum & their 1st challenge was a sample of fabric to be inspired by:-

Well I immediately thought of autumn & harvest & so I down printed off a copy of the paper & used it as backing for my card, I then stamped yet another of my many house mouse stamps onto cream paper, coloured & mounted. I finished the card with a couple of branch embellishments & lots of little acorns !

C.P.S. Template 21 Challenge "Pin~up"

I was really pleased with this template challenge:- I used a granite backing paper with a cork paper. Peel off corners and lettering and a metal frame with part of a rubber stamped image.

Another Caardvarks challenge " 5 bits"

Here we go again with another Caardvarks challenge:- Make a card using 5 embellishments. Sadly the scan really does this card no justice, but I have not got enough time left to make another...so hey ho. Firstly I embossed the whole of the front of the card blank, I then punched out the book & stamped it with black stazon script ( which does not show in the scan). I placed this on the front of the card along with a pink rose, a metal heart, a silver wedding scroll & some glittery butterflies.

Creative !dea on Sunday Challenge:- "little ted"

This weeks challenge was to use brown & blue:-

Little Ted is the outcome of my effort!
